ASSESSMENT PATTERN FOR CLASS PRE-PRIMARY (TINY – TOTS)

Pre-Primary (Tiny- Tots) does not have any formal Examination. Students will have follow up assessment of concepts on the topics covered. They will have two assessments in a year.

ASSESSMENT PATTERN

Scheme of Assessment:

a) Class Test (Class I to XII) –
Eight Class tests (20 marks each)

b) Periodic written Test (Class I to XII)–
Two Periodic Written Tests (each of 40 marks)

c) Notebook Submission (Class I to X) –        Regularity, Assignment Completion, Neatness & upkeep of notebook – once in each term.

(10 Marks for I to V

 5 Marks for VI to X)

d) Subject Enrichment Activity (SEA)
Once in each term.

(10 Marks for I to V

 5 Marks for VI to X)

e) Half Yearly (HYL) –
Each subject of 60 marks(I to V)

Each subject 80 marks(VI to X)

For XI and XII as per Board Pattern

f) Annual examination (AE)
Each subject of 60 marks(I to V)

Each subject 80 marks(VI to VIII)

IX and XI as per Board Pattern.

Schedule of Assessment:

a) Periodic written Test (UT):
As per the calendar given in Students’ Diary.

b) Half Yearly Examination (HYL):
In the month of September/October.

c) Pre-board & Yearly Exams (PBE & AE):
Pre-Board-I for X and XII : December Pre- Board-II for X and XII: January 

Portion of Assessment:

a) Periodic written Test (UT):
Portion taught till one week before the schedule.

b) Half Yearly Examination (HYL):
Portion taught till two weeks before the schedule.

c) Pre-board & Annual Examination (PBE & AE):
Pre-Board-I for XII: Full portion
Pre-Board-II for XII: Full portion
Annual Examination (IX and XI):Full portion

Promotion Policy:

Class XI:

Unit Test-1: 10%

Half Yearly: 20%

Unit Test-2: 10%

Yearly : 60%

Grand Total : Unit Test-1+ Half Yearly + Unit Test-2 + Yearly = 100 M

  • A student is considered to be clear pass when he/she scores 33% or above in each of the 5 subjects to qualify for Class XII.
  • In case a student fails in two or more subjects he/she shall be considered as a failed candidate.
  • For the case of grace marks, the maximum limit would be not more than 10 marks. Failing which the candidate is considered as clear fail.
  • For each paper, examination duration for final term is 3 hours.
